Grooming Services

Cats are generally fastidious about grooming themselves. Occasionally we do get some “problem” cats. These are usually the longer-haired cats, or cats that are so overweight they cannot reach certain parts to groom themselves. We offer a variety of grooming options: combing out or shaving out mats, sanitary trim (shaving fur from around the anal/genital region to prevent “cling-ons,”) baths, and lion cuts.

We require that all cats be current on their Rabies and distemper (FVRCP-C) vaccines before they have any procedure performed here. Some cats really do not appreciate grooming help from humans, and that is why their owners will bring them to us. If needed, we can sedate your cat (with gas anesthetics) so that they can take a nice nap and wake up beautiful! In the event that sedation is warranted, we offer pre-anesthetic blood screening to evaluate your cat’s health prior to administering any drugs. (We require this blood screen on any cat that is eight years or older.)
