Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic Testing

Cats do not necessarily tell us when they are not feeling well. This can cause serious medical problems to be overlooked. Some cats may exhibit visible, clinical signs for the medical problems. Other cats require more medical work ups to detect problems. HPIM0997_1.JPGAt Kentwood Cat Clinic and Cat Clinic North, we recommend performing appropriate diagnostic tests to diagnose these health problems. Some tests can be performed in-house to get results on the same day. Examples of these tests include complete blood counts (CBC), blood chemistries, radiographs, ultrasounds (Kentwood Cat Clinic only), heartworm tests, and feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) tests. Other diagnostic tests require samples be sent to an outside lab. These tests include tests such as histopathology, bladder stone analysis, bacteriological cultures and Bartonella testing. Our goal is to provide the best care possible for your cat, and your doctor will determine what tests will help us provide that care. Please call for more information.
