Intensive Care

When a pet is hospitalized for serious illness, it is stressful for both the owner and the pet. We promise to take the best care of the patient and its family. We have up-to-date technology available for nursing care, and we employ Licensed Veterinary Technicians to monitor and care for patients.

Dental_Day_Chris_and_Cat_1.JPGSimilar to a human hospital, our patients are monitored throughout the day, medicated as directed by the veterinarian and staff, and procedures are performed as necessary. The veterinarian and licensed technicians work together with each pet’s family to determine a plan of action for treating any illness.

For certain situations or illnesses, your pet may need 24-hour care, in which case there is a local 24-hour urgent care veterinary hospital. The Animal Emergency Hospital is located on the northeast side of Grand Rapids, and your pet may need to be transferred there for continued care.
